Browser Tips

If the ghost image doesn't update, first try these options:

AOL users
AOL browsers won't allow an auto-refresh on the page. To overcome this problem, AOL users may:

  1. Login to AOL as usual
  2. Minimize the AOL browser (Don't close it)
  3. Open a non-AOL browser - Netscape or Internet Explorer
  4. Follow the tips below for your chosen browser
  5. Return to the ghost page using the new browser
I.E. Tips:
To make sure that I.E. looks for a new image each time you visit the site:
  1. Select "Tools" in the browser top menubar
  2. Go to "Internet Options"
  3. Under the header "Temporary Internet Files" hit "Settings"
  4. Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages" select "Every visit to the page"
  5. Hit "OK" - and "OK" again to close the options box.
  6. You may need to close and restart your browser before the changes are set.
Netscape Tips:
To make sure that Netscape looks for a new image each time you visit the site:
  1. Select "Edit" in the browser top menubar
  2. Go to "Preferences"
  3. Under the "Catagory" list click on the + sign next to "Advanced"
  4. In the dropbox that opens under "Advanced" choose "Cache"
  5. Choose to compare cached document to document on server "Every Time"
  6. Hit "OK"
  7. You may need to close and restart your browser before the changes are set.
