Video Adserving Best Practices
Mandatory
- - Videos will be encoded as FLV's (flash video) at the site level
- - Preroll length: up to 15 seconds
- - Postroll length: up to 30 seconds
- - Last frame of Postroll will remain on the screen once ended (if Postroll is running)
- - Video will scale w/ the player via Flash
- - Max 3 business day turnaround
Optional
- - Preroll and Postroll can be clickable with optional URL
- - Create 2 versions of the ad, one 576x324 and one 320x240 for the different size players, otherwise ad will scale w/ the players.
- - run a companion bigbox ad in tandem with the preroll/postroll
- - companion bigbox will run 1:1 with the preroll/postroll if a bigbox ad is on the page
- - companion bigbox can be any standard bigbox ad or 3rd party bigbox ad either 336x280 or 300x250

- - Bigbox ads can be used in place of Preroll/Postroll ads if a video cannot be used
- - Able to run flash ads, jpg/gif ads, and 3rd party ads.
- - Ads will timeout based on Preroll/Postroll specs, up to :15 for Preroll, up to :30 for Postroll
- - Last frame of Postroll will remain on the screen once ended (if Postroll is running)
- - Standard bigbox ads won't be able to run as prerolls
- - Create 2 versions of the ad, one 576x324 and one 320x240 for the different size players.

- - Must be flash and published for Flash Player 9 or higher w/ actionscript 3.0.
- - Ad will be accessable throughout the entire content video after the first :15.
- - Overlay must contain a close button.
- - Overlay will play for :15 and either vanish or dissolve into a reminder button
- - If the close button is clicked the overlay should vanish or dissolve into a reminder button
- - Can contain video, forms, animations, ect and can pause content video if overlay expands or takes up the full screen of the player.
- - Max 3 business day turnaround
- - Create 2 versions of the ad, one 576x324 and one 320x240 for the different size players.
Optional
- - Optional tracking becans can be added for custom interaction points or instances.
- - Interaction points in the overlay will be tracked via DoubleClick. Must inform the adserver group to create tracking tags before ad is finsihed being built
